(BAFU) – On April 17th, 2022, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) held the Opening Ceremony of Agricultural Eco-tourism zone.
The Opening Ceremony was attended by Mr. Vu Anh Tai – Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Trinh Huu Hung – Director of Bac Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Duong Hong Co – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Bach Dang Khoa – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Education and Training; Mr. Ngo Chi Vinh – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Le Ba Thanh – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development ; Mr. Nguyen Giang Nam – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Television Station; Mr. Nguyen Dai Luong – Chairman of Viet Yen District People’s Committee; Representatives of businesses, tourism exploitation enterprises, Bac Giang Cinema Culture Center, media companies…, . On the side of BAFU, there were Board of Directors, the Chairman of the BAFU Council; representatives of nearly 300 officials, pupils and students at the ceremony.

In the opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector of BAFU emphasized that “the BAFU’s campus has become a biodiversity conservation area and a very favorable condition for training, scientific research and Agricultural Eco-tourism. BAFU has been mobilizing resources with the right investment, its own identity… that will certainly be a beautiful and attractive place for tourists to visit. …”.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Duong Hong Co – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University is an ideal place to organize tourism with a large, beautiful campus and a rich ecosystem. In recent years, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has accompanied and supported the University in promoting the procedures to be recognized as a tourist destination.

BAFU is considered as one of the bright destinations of Viet Yen district, with a convenient transportation system, a spacious campus, and a diverse and rich ecosystem. That is a premise for businesses, organizations and individuals to boldly invest and associate with tourism development. At the opening ceremony, 8 enterprises signed a cooperation agreement to form a tourism product chain and cooperate in training and research with the University. Accordingly, the University can connect with other tourist destinations to form a suitable tour, businesses will support and accompany the University’s tourism development.

To celebrate the signing ceremony of cooperation between the school and businesses, BAFU organized a special welcome music program with the participation of artist, singer from Bac Giang Center of Cinema and Culture, Bac Giang Provincial School of Culture and Arts.
After the opening ceremony, BAFU held a workshop on orientation to develop eco-tourism in association with training high-quality agricultural engineers. Attending the seminar were representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, relevant departments, leaders of Viet Yen District People’s Committee and businesses…
Overview of the workshop
At the seminar, experts all said that: BAFU has the advantage of beautiful natural scenery, a unique waterfowl sanctuary, the first high-tech vineyard in the North and processed products, an ecological fishing lake… These will be important conditions for exploiting experiential tourism at the University. However, the University needs to change investment cooperation mode with businesses for synchronous infrastructure and train professional human resources at the University to promote tourism development. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the application of 4.0 technology in agricultural production to attract students in studying agriculture.
The workshop was successfully held, opening many new directions to develop BAFU into an attractive tourist destination in the coming time.
