Vietnamese and Thai students benefit from a new Educational Cooperation Agreement

(BAFU) – On the morning of March 24, 2025, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) – Thailand was successfully held, opening up opportunities for collaboration in research, technology transfer and high-quality human resource training.

With the desire to enhance research capacity and apply science and technology to agricultural production, both sides agreed to cooperate in many important areas. According to the agreement, BAFU and RMUTL will jointly research and transfer promising vegetable, fruit, and flower varieties while promoting the commercialization of research products in both countries.

Notably, the two universities will collaborate on testing, registering, and commercializing new crop varieties originating from Thailand in Vietnam and vice versa. Additionally, the cooperation program includes technical training support for staff, lecturers, and students, as well as the organization of international seminars to share scientific and technological achievements.

Beyond scientific research, the cooperation agreement also emphasizes strengthening student exchanges between the two universities. Students from BAFU will have the opportunity to study, intern, and access advanced technology at RMUTL, while RMUTL students will experience a modern research environment at BAFU. This is seen as a crucial step in enhancing training quality, enabling students from both institutions to engage with international education and gain practical experience.

The signing ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the participation of leaders from both universities and experts in the field of agriculture. Representing RMUTL, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chti Sritontip emphasized that “We firmly believe that the cooperation between our two universities will bring practical value in scientific research, training, and sustainable agricultural development.”

On behalf of BAFU, Dr. Nguyễn Tuấn Dương, Vice Rector, affirmed: “The signing of this cooperation agreement is an important step forward, contributing to the improvement of training quality, scientific research, and expanding development opportunities for students and lecturers of both universities.”

The cooperation agreement between BAFU and RMUTL opens up new opportunities in research and education, marking an important step forward in the international cooperation relationship of the both universities, contributing to promoting sustainable development in the field of high-tech agriculture.
