(BAFU) – On the morning of June 26, 2023, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) conducted a meeting with the Institute of Science and Technology of Agricultural Product Processing under the Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GXAAS) – China.
Attending the meeting, on the side of the Institute of Science and Technology of Agricultural Products Processing were: Mr. CHEN, GANLIN – Director and experts. On the side of BAFU, there were: Assoc. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector, leaders of Food Technology Faculty, Department of Science & International Cooperation.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and agreed on cooperation contents in 2023:
– Researching on preservation and processing of fresh litchi and banana by applying drying technology that maintains its original taste, aroma and color;
– The Institute of Agricultural Product Processing Science and Technology will create favorable conditions for BAFU’s staff to study agricultural product processing at the Institute;
– Supporting equipment, providing laboratory funding for BAFU. In particular, the Institute will offer BAFU scholarships for Young Scientists in China sponsored by the Chinese government for the next year.

After the contents were agreed, BAFU held the opening Ceremony of Research Laboratory Complex for Vietnam-China Agricultural Product Processing and Preservation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of BAFU was pleased to cooperate in building a laboratory at the University with the Institute of Science and Technology of Agricultural Product Processing. He also expected that the laboratory would contribute a lot to scientific research and create many high-quality products for the University to become a prestigious address for agricultural production and processing.

Mr. CHEN, GANLIN – Director of the Institute of Agricultural Products Processing Science and Technology, said that “this is the fourth laboratory built by the Institute in order to promote cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and China”. At the same time, he also expected the Institute would research and apply many advanced and modern technologies in agricultural production, especially in the field of preservation and processing for Vietnamese agricultural products to export.
