Conference to summarize 10 years of scientific research and technology transfer (2012 – 2022)

(BAFU) – On May 17th, 2022, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University held a conference to summarize 10 years of scientific research and transfer of science and technology in the period of 2012 – 2022.

Attending the BAFU’s Conference, on the guest side, were Dr. Ngo Chi Vinh – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Hong Son – Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Union of Science & Technology Associations; Mr. Dao Trong Nghia – Chief of Bac Giang Science and Technology Department, Science & Technology Association. On behalf of BAFU, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Dang Xuan Anh – Chairman of BAFU; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector, along with the heads and deputy heads of units.

Overview of the Conference

Opening the Conference, Dr. Tran Duc Hoan – Head of Science & International Cooperation Department reported on the results of S&T research and technology transfer, cooperation programs on Science and Technology in the period of 2012 – 2022. Accordingly, in the period 2012-2022, BAFU has been implementing more than 300 topics. Scientific research projects at ministerial/State level, provincial level and grassroots level focused on the fields of Forestry, Cultivation and Animal Husbandry with a total cost of nearly 60 billion VND. Cooperation with foreign countries was focused, BAFU cooperated with the Guangxi Agricultural Academy- China, typically the Ha Den grape variety was granted a trademark protection certificate by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

In the period of 2023-2030, in order to improve the efficiency and capacity of implementing science and technology tasks, BAFU focuses on renewing and supplementing a number of scientific management regulations; assign the highest autonomy to the project managers; financial procedures; establish a strong research group with a specific mechanism to promote autonomy and independence in deploying, searching and implementing scientific tasks…

Over the years, BAFU has also made many contributions to the development of science and technology of the province and received many prestigious awards. At the conference, BAFU was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Association of Science & Technology. Individuals who received certificates of merit from the Rector of have made excellent achievements in science and technology transfer in the period of 2012 – 2021.

Speaking at the conference’s conclusion, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep requested that the units need to implement the actualization of scientific and technological products. It is necessary to raise funds for the BAFU’s Science and Technology development from various sources and soon finalize the operation regulations for the strong Science – Technology research group in the coming time.
