(BAFU) – On March 2nd, 2023, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) had a working session with a delegation of professors from Hiroshima University, Japan.
Attending the meeting, on the side of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), there were leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Department of International Cooperation. The delegation of Hiroshima University included: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nakayama, Prof. Ueda, Prof. Masayuki Shimada, Prof. Tran Dang Xuan and Assistant Professor. Nguyen Van Quan. Welcoming and working with the delegation, on the side of BAFU there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector and members of the Board of Rectors and representatives of functional departments and specialized faculties.

At the meeting, two sides have discussed directions of cooperation as well as the contents related to the doctoral training program, laboratory; methods, enrollment mechanism, training management, tuition fees and scholarships in 04 fields of main training: Technology and Livestock production, Biotechnology and Cultivation, Food hygiene and safety, Agricultural policy and supply chain.

The representative of MARD suggested that BAFU should pay attention to speed up the cooperative progress and he also believed that with available human resources and determination, BAFU would successfully cooperate with Hiroshima University

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of BAFU thanked for information and opportunities which the Hiroshima University shared and confirmed to do the best to support. He was also pleased that the meeting had detailed contents related to the doctoral training program and the responsibilities of two sides. BAFU will prioritize all human and material resources for this cooperative program. The Cooperative Agreement between BAFU and Hiroshima University is expected to be signed in November, 2023.
