Promoting cooperation with MingHsin University of Science and Technology (MUST), Taiwan

(BAFU) – With the desire to develop and promote the cooperation relationship between two universities, on April 23, 2024, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) had a working session with MingHsin University of Science and Technology (MUST), Taiwan led by Prof. Liao Xinde – Vice Rector in order to concretize and effectively implement the contents of the cooperation agreement:

  1. Promoting and developing cooperation and exchange in the field of education.
  2. Promoting educational activities with the participation of researchers, scholars, lecturers, teachers, students, educational administrators and other experts for teaching, learning, research and cooperative programs.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong welcomed the MUST delegation to visit and work at BAFU and said that “the two sides have huge potential for deeper cooperation in enrollment and training organization, High school pupils and students from BAFU have been participating in Chinese language courses. They are very interested in internship programs at universities and businesses in Taiwan… Leaders of BAFU also hope to promote the cooperation agreement so that students have the opportunities to receive scholarships and participate in training cooperation programs between the two universities”.

At the meeting, Prof. Liao Xinde said that “MUST is a leading unit in semiconductor technology in Taiwan and receives hundreds of billions of VND from the State for this technology. Each year, MUST welcomes about 700 – 800 Vietnamese students to study abroad. MUST is willing to cooperate with BAFU in some particular fields such as Information Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Natural Resources and Environment, Chinese Language, Tourism and Travel Service Management”. At the same time, he also hoped that the leaders of the two universities would pay attention to implementing procedures to establish a representative office at BAFU.

After the working session, MUST had a meeting with staff, lecturers, pupils and students of BAFU to introduce scholarship programs and career orientation after graduation.

The working session with MUST ended successfully, opening a new phase in the cooperation relationship with the expectation of cooperation programs and activities which will bring the practical effect for both universities.
