BAC GIANG- On January 18 evening, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Giang province solemnly organized a ceremony at Than Nhan Trung square (Viet Yen) to announce the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee’s resolution on establishment of Viet Yen township and its belonging wards.
The event was attended by Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member and NA Chairman and leaders of the Party Committee, State, ministries, central agencies and Bac Giang province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Committee of Viet Yen district stressed Viet Yen is an ancient land with rich and long history, culture and tradition of studiousness.
The glorious tradition in line with special cultural values in the land of Viet Yen has become an important motivation in the cause of construction of the homeland, which helps Viet Yen to overcome difficulties and make good use of its advantages to gain numerous significant and comprehensive achievements in various fields.

Viet Yen district has been targeted to become a regional industrial and service center and township by 2025 in many resolutions and master plan of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and the Party Committee of Viet Yen district.
NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue warmly congratulated and praised the outstanding achievements gained by the Party Committee and people of Viet Yen district so far. He stressed the establishment of Viet Yen township serves as a crucial premise to stimulate economic development and improve the material and spiritual lives of local people.

To that end, he urged the all-level party committee, government and people of Viet Yen township as well as Bac Giang province as a whole to well implement some key tasks. Of which, it is necessary to continue promoting its internal resources, potentials and advantage, fully tapping the advantages in geographical location, historical and cultural landscapes, making stronger efforts to proactively grasp opportunities and overcomechallenges for rapid and sustainable development of Viet Yen township.
Besides, the new township should mobilize and utilize resources for socio-economic development, heighten the urban quality, attach urban development to urban economic development towards a green and smart city adapting to climate change and build Viet Yen into a dynamic area for socio-economic development of Bac Giang province.

On this occasion, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue handed over the Resolution on establishment of Viet Yen township and its belonging wards and gave flowers to congratulate the Party Committee, government and people of Viet Yen district.
The ceremony ended with a firework performance in the joy of the delegates, officials, soldiers and people.
