(BAFU) – On January 31, 2024, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) and Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China (GXAAS) held a conference to summarize cooperation activities between the two sides to evaluate the results achieved after 8 years of cooperation and determine the main directions of cooperation in the future.

Speaking at the conference, Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong – Rector of BAFU thanked for warm welcome at the invitation of GXAAS in November, 2023. The Rector said that the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had paid close attention to cooperation activities with GXAAS and Chinese Universities in the fields of training, scientific research and technology transfer.
MSc. Diem Tuyet Mai – Deputy Head of the Department of Science & International Cooperation presented a report on the results of cooperation between BAFU and GXAAS in 2023.

At the conference, Prof. Tang Qizhan – Head of International Cooperation Department of GXAAS expressed satisfaction with the results of cooperation. GXAAS and BAFU have had a long-term relationship since 2016 with a number of projects such as grapes, corn, and melons. Ha Den grape has had significant success and is being widely transferred in Northern Vietnam. In the near future, the two sides will coordinate to build an agricultural and food processing room, support the University to expand the scale of the grape growing model and create the best conditions for BAFU to send scientists to Guangxi for research.
