BAC GIANG – On the evening of October 8, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front of Bac Giang province solemnly held the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit and direction at the first Party Committee Congress of Ha Bac province (Bac Giang and Bac Ninh province at present) (October 17, 1963-October 17, 2023) in February 3 Square (Bac Giang city).

It recalled the morning of October 17, 1963 at the Bac Giang town stadium, Uncle Ho met and talked with more than 20,000 ethnic minorities in the province.

Speaking to direct the First Congress of Ha Bac Provincial Party, President Ho Chi Minh gave enthusiastic and valuable advice and direction to the Provincial Party Committee, cadres, and party members in the province. Over the past 60 years, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province have always remembered and well implemented Uncle Ho’s teachings.
After many years and many terms of persistent effort, the former Ha Bac province or current Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces have had strong development and achieved many important results in many fields.

At the ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that Bac Giang is a land of outstanding spiritual people, rich in cultural tradition and history. The place marks the glorious victories of our nation in fighting against foreign invaders associated with historical sites.
Through thousand of years building and defending the country, Bac Giang people following the previous generation has built a tradition of solidarity, diligence, creativity, resilience and courage.

He was glad to see that Bac Giang has grown strongly today, becoming one of the dynamically developing provinces with many achievements, a bright spot of the country in many fields. The appearance of the province changes day by day with new vitality and spirit.
President Vo Van Thuong warmly congratulated and praised the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Bac Giang have achieved in recent years.
The State President noted that the province needs to focus on strongly transforming the economic structure in association with innovating the growth model by promoting the application of science and technology, renovating and increasing productivity.
More attention should be paid to investing in agricultural development, farmers and rural areas whike further well implementing the Program to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas practically, efficiently and sustainably.

Local economic development must go in hand with cultural and social development, ensuring progress and social justice. The province needs to continue investing in preserving and promoting the value of the cultural and historical heritage system, associated with tourism development, to create motivation for socio-economic development.
The province should continue to improve the quality of education and training, especially in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas so as to create human resources to meet the development requirements of the province.
