Final round of the innovative startup ideas for students Competition in 2024 – Nurturing Entrepreneurial Dreams among BAFU Students

(BAFU) – On November 30, 2024, at Hall B5, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) successfully organized the Final round of the competition to search and select innovative startup ideas for students in 2024.

The Final round was attended by Dr. Ngo Chi Vinh – Chairman of Bac Giang Union of Science and Technology Associations; MSc. Trieu Ngoc Trung – Deputy Director of Bac Giang Department of Science and Technology; Dr. Truong Thi Thuy Ninh – CO-FOUNDER, Sales Director of Nehob Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Dr. Tran Anh Phuong – Head of Communications of the Innovation and Startup Network of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges; MSc. Pham Hoang Ngan – Management of policy innovation consulting activities, Vietnam Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Project (USAID IPSC); MSc. Ngo Quoc Duong – Head of secondary education and continuing education department, Department of Education and Training; Comrade Thach Kim Anh – Head of the School Youth Committee, Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union. 

On the side of BAFU, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Bao Duong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector – along with the Board of Rectors, lecturers and a large number of students, were present at the B5 Hall to cheer their teams.

According to Dr. Mai Thi Huyen, Vice Rector of BAFU, the competition of innovative startup ideas for students in 2024 is held to promote entrepreneurship and innovative solutions in the student community, provide a creative space based on science and technology combined with a practical business model, helping students apply learned knowledge to solve technical and economic problems for businesses and society as well as have the opportunity to realize their startup ideas, contributing to promoting innovation and developing the local economy. From 26 participating ideas and projects, the Organizing Committee has selected 10 best projects and ideas with potential and development ability to participate in the final round.

At the final round, the teams presented their projects and directly answered  questions from the Judging Panel. As a result, the awards were given as follows:

First prize: Project “Production of Ramie Compost organic fertilizer from Ramie plant”.

Second Prize: Project “Organic vegetable production associated with Eco-tourism at Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University”.

– Third Prize: Project “Pet care service”.

02 Consolation Prizes: Project “Production of organic floor cleaner from bark” and project “Trading of cereal flower tea from natural materials in Bac Giang”.

– Prospect Award: Project “Producing and trading organic hydroponic solution – New direction in improving the quality of hydroponic vegetables”.
