(BAFU) – On the morning of September 6, 2023, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) organized an evaluation session on the initial results of experimental cultivation of Shenxun N.01 mushroom variety of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences – China. The testing program is conducted by the Faculty of Forestry at the BAFU. The participants of the evaluation session were: Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector of the BAFU, Department of Science and International Cooperation and lecturers of the Faculty of Forestry.

Overview of the evaluation session
The 1st phase of cultivation process was conducted from April 2023 to August 2023 with the goal of cultivating the Shenxun N.01 mushroom variety successfully (with high nutritional and medicinal value) that has not been cultivated in Viet Nam. At the same time, the success of experimental cultivation will promote international cooperation in the field of scientific research between the BAFU and Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China.

The 1st phase of cultivation process of Shenxun N.o1 mushroom variety has initially achieved positive results. The research team of the Faculty of Forestry has identified the mushroom that is qualified for cultivation on synthetic substrates. In addition, the research results have shown the necessary conditions for the successful cultivation of Shenxun N.o1 mushroom on sawdust and waste cotton substrates. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector of BAFU highly appreciated the scientific value and the ability to develop and expand the testing program to achieve the better results in the next phase.
