The 6th Congress of Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union, term 2023-2028

(BAFU) – The 6th Congress of the Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union is an important political event for union members and civil servants, public employees, and laborers of the agricultural sector. The Congress took place for 2 days, from October 8-9 in Hanoi with the theme  “Innovation – Democracy – Solidarity – Development”.

The Congress was solemnly held with the attendance of Mr. Le Minh Hoan – Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD); Huynh Thanh Xuan – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and 248 official delegates.

The Congress has the task of objectively and comprehensively evaluating the results achieved, while pointing out shortcomings, limitations and drawing lessons learned over 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Trade Union of Agriculture and Rural Development; Identifying goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2023-2028 term. Electing the Executive Committee of the Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union. term VI consisting of 35 members, and elected the Standing Committee consisting of 13 members. Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen – Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was trusted by the Congress to be elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Agriculture and Rural Development, term 2023-2028
