Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong – BAFU Rector Welcomes and Works with Representatives from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

(BAFU) – On the morning of July 18, 2024, Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong – Party Committee Secretary,  Rector of BAFU, along with leaders of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Food Technology, Department of Science & International Cooperation, had a reception and working session with a Japanese delegation led by Mrs. Kobayashi Akiko – Volunteer Coordinator from the Japan International Cooperation Organization (JICA) to discuss the possibility of cooperating to implement the program of volunteer recruitment.

At the reception and working session, Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong expressed his joy to be able to welcome and have a working meeting with JICA. The Rector also made a brief introduction about BAFU and emphasized that the University always prioritizes cooperating with Japanese partners and hoped to have more cooperation in different fields to enhance solidarity and close relationship with the country and people of Japan.

Mrs. Kobayashi Akiko thanked and expressed her gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception provided by BAFU. She delivered detailed presentations on the JICA volunteer program and asked the University to rebuild the Request Form Templates of volunteer recruitment according to needs so that volunteers in Japan can easily be applied.

At the end of the meeting, the JICA delegation and BAFU exchanged gifts and took group photos

Through the exchange and discussions, representatives from both sides discussed the JICA volunteer program in the Food Technology industry. Especially, the  program of volunteer recruitment in the field of fermentation technology.
