(BAFU) From 17 to October 21 2018, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) organized a class “Training on agricultural extension and teaching methods in FFS fields” for 60 agricultural extension workers and collaborators from 5 provinces: Cao Bang, Lang Son, Son La, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.
Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector gave an opening speech and presented the main contents of Agricultural productions in the revolution 4.0
At the class, participants were listened by experts to present some basic issues on agricultural extension and teaching methods including: Agricultural productions in the revolution 4.0 and ecological agriculture; Agricultural extension in the context of international integration; Planning and practicing extension training; Skills for agricultural extension training; Skills to promote and work in groups for training in agricultural extension; Practicing and teaching skills of agricultural extension training is a student-centered teaching method with interaction between experts and students to improve self-determination and ability to handle work.

After the theoretical training content, the participants took practical trips to clean vegetable cooperative in Tien Dung commune, aquatic animal husbandry in Xuan Phu commune, Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province. These activities helped trainees promote and reinforce the knowledge that they had learnt. At the end of the course, the trainees understood FFS training methods and skills such as group discussions and practical skills; Making questions; exploiting and use the experiences… At the same time, trainees will grasp the method in organizing the class with the steps: Selecting the participants; Identifying people’s needs; Identifying difficulties and solutions of learners; implementing plans…/.
