Traditional BunPiMay Tet for Laotian students at Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University

(BAFU) – On the afternoon of April 14, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) organized a traditional Bunpimay Tet celebration for Laotian students studying at the University to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, motivate students to study and strengthen the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Attending the ceremony, there was the attendance of the leaders from Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Bac Giang province, Standing Vice Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Bac Giang province, and comrades in Liaison board for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Laos. On the side of BAFU, there were Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector of BAFU, comrade Phan Thi Ha Cham – Secretary of the BAFU’s Youth Union and representatives of lecturers, students and Laotian students who are currently studying at BAFU.

Opening the ceremony, Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector sent her best wishes on the occasion of the traditional BunPiMay Tet to Laotian students studying at the University. Dr. Mai Thi Huyen thanked the agencies and organizations of Bac Giang province and the lecturers of BAFU for supporting the best conditions for Lao students in their studies as well as living life.

On the occasion of the traditional New Year, the participants gave flowers and sent their best wishes to the Laotian students

At the end of the Ceremony, BAFU participants and students had a chance to experience important rituals of the traditional Bunpimay Tet Holiday of Laos which was held with warth and solemness. Some outdoor activities with rituals of the traditional Bunpimay Tet Holiday of Laos such as water – splashing, giving thanks to the elderly, etc.
