BAC GIANG – In October and November 2023, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) signed a cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Guangxi Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Guangxi University of Science and Technology Education (China) on training, researching and teaching programs in the field of high-tech agriculture.
Within the cooperation content, the units have agreed to implement 3+1 training program (students study 3 years at BAFU and 1 year in China); exchange of Chinese teachers to teach at BAFU and Guangxi University of Science and Technology Education; exchange of students to study and practice at Shanghai Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Guangxi Institute of Agricultural Sciences; organize winter and summer student exchange programs every year; award scholarships to students of BAFU; invite experts between units to cooperate in scientific research.

Firstly, the Shanghai Institute of Agricultural Sciences, the Guangxi Institute of Agricultural Sciences will collaborate with BAFU to continue researching and testing the development of a number of plant varieties such as: Cantaloupe, bio corn mass, black grapes so as to achieve higher productivity and quality together with methods of conservation and development of flocks in some types of waterfowl.
Currently, BAFU is training 4 majors at the master’s level, 13 majors at the university level with nearly 2,000 students.
