(BAFU) On May 17th, 2019, the delegation of Avara International Center of Agriculture Training (AICAT) led by Ms. Hanni Arnon – Director paid a working visit to Bac Giang Agriculture – Forestry University (BAFU). The meeting was held for exchanging and answering students’ questions regarding the internship program.
Receiving and working with the delegation of AICAT, there were Dr. Nguyen Binh Nhu – Chairman of the School Council, Dr. Tran Duc Hoan – Head of Science & International Cooperation Department, staff of Centre for Enrollment and Employment Counselling, Department of Science & International Cooperation along with nearly 30 students admitted in Israel internship Program, academic year 2019-2020.
This year is the seventh year, BAFU students have registered to participate in the Israel Internship Program. BAFU has been started the Israel internship program since 2013. Up to now, after 6 years of implementation, over 110 students have been participating in the program. The program is for the final year students. All students will have 11 months to study and work in a country with the most advanced modern agriculture in the world. Through the program, students will improve English, career skills, international work experience.
Dr. Nguyen Binh Nhu – School Council Chairman gave a speech
At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Binh Nhu – Chairman of the School Council affirmed that the access to high-tech agriculture is essential for the agriculture-forestry schools. In 2013, only a student in Agronomy Faculty registered to participate, so far 100% of the departments have students participating in the program. Dr. Nguyen Binh Nhu believed that the bilateral cooperation ties between AICAT and BAFU will be increasingly developed in the future.

Ms. Hanni Arnon – Director of AICAT highly appreciated the changes of BAFU over the past 6 years from the models of high-tech agricultural production to the quality of students participating in the program. For each course, students have improved their professional skills and confidence in English communication. However, students need to be well prepared to study and work in Israel for 11 months.
In addition, Ms. Hanni Arnon also introduced more about the Program. In the academic year 2019 – 2020, AICAT receives 1200 students from 16 countries around the world such as Kenya, Thailand, Uganda, Nepal, India and Vietnam. She informed that students will have chance to access modern farming methods as well as to visit the famous scenic landscape of Israel. “In addition to working time on farms, students will learn the theory with subjects such as aquatic products, post-harvest, plant protection, food security, 40% of the time studying the theory…”, she added.
