Workshop on application of science and technology in agricultural production

(BAFU) – On the morning of November 15th, 2022,  Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) held a workshop on Research results on scientific basis of roles, policies and solutions to promote households  approaching and applying science – technology into agricultural production.

Overview of the workshop

Attending the workshop, on the guest side were leaders of Bac Giang Department of Science and Technology, Bac Giang Department of Fisheries, Department of Cultivation, Plant Protection, Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine, cooperatives, enterprises in Bac Giang province and scientists at the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture. On the side of BAFU, there were Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector, chairing the seminar; Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector and representatives of the Department of Science & International Cooperation, Faculty of Animal Husbandry – Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agronomy.

Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector, Project Manager emphasized that the workshop was organized to clarify the scientific basis of the role and policies, solutions to promote households to approach and apply science and technology in agricultural production. The workshop will collect opinions of experts, scientists, departments, agencies, departments of agriculture, cooperatives, businesses, representative households in the application of science and technology to have overall view in building a theoretical framework for the project.

Within the framework of the seminar, the research team presented the results achieved on three aspects: theoretical basis for policies; solutions to promote household approaching and applying science – technology into agricultural production; Theoretical basis for policies and solutions to promote households approaching and applying science and technology into agricultural production; Practical basis – foreign and domestic experiences on policies and solutions to promote households approaching and applying science – technology into agricultural production

At the seminar, there were some comments on the actual situation of implementing policies on application of science and technology in the fields of cultivation, animal husbandry, limitations and suggestions for solutions in the near future; Policies on application of high technology and clean agriculture; theory on traceability; Theory on building a theoretical framework, a system of indicators for research and application of science – technology in agricultural production…

Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice Rector of BAFU thanked the comments of the delegates, scientists, and managers at the workshop. The comments have great practical value that will be the basis for the project team to complete the report.
