Training on “Data analysis with the application of STATA software”

(BAFU) – From June 27 – June 30, 2024, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) organized a training course on using Stata software in order to develop the research skills of the teaching staff and implement the cooperation agreement with the Leibniz Hannover University – Germany.

Attending the training sessions were Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong – Party Committee Secretary, Rector; Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Duong – Vice Rector of BAFU. Initially, nearly 50 lecturers from specialized faculties joined the training sessions. The training course was presented by Dr. Pham Tien Thanh – Ton Duc Thang University.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong sent his special thanks to Dr. Pham Tien Thanh – Ton Duc Thang University received the invitation to participate in teaching, “BAFU will  survey to serve the data entry and analysis work in the future. Through this sharing session, lecturers have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and get closer to the Stata software. After this course, the Leibniz Hannover University, Germany will send experts to provide in-depth training for them”. The Rector said.

“Stata is a powerful and flexible general-purpose statistical software package designed for data manipulation, visualization, statistics, and automated reporting. It is widely used by researchers, analysts, and professionals across various fields to analyze and interpret data.

With Stata, users can perform a wide range of statistical analyses, such as regression analysis, time series analysis, survival analysis, and survey data analysis. It provides an extensive set of tools and functions to explore, clean, and prepare data, making it efficient for data management tasks. Additionally, Stata offers tools for data visualization, allowing users to create informative graphs, charts, and plots to represent their findings visually”.

The training course was a great success. Through the training program, lecturers had the opportunity to listen to useful knowledge and get closer to Stata software, as well as dedicated guidance from experts in the fields that BAFU has been cooperating with local and international partners. This was also an opportunity for lecturers to discuss, exchange knowledge and contribute creative research ideas to improve their professional capacity and accumulate new knowledge.
