Cooperation in academic exchange and expanding learning opportunities for students between BAFU and Da Yeh University, Taiwan

(BAFU) – On the afternoon of July 23, 2024, Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) chaired  a reception and working session with Mr. Yeh Shin Jen – Vice President of Da Yeh University, Taiwan  (大葉大學) to deepen existing cooperative relationships, improve the global partner network in the field of training cooperation.

Delivering her speech at the working session, Dr. Mai Thi Huyen extended her warm welcome to the delegation from Dai Diep University. The Vice-Rector shared that “BAFU always promotes the effective implementation of student and lecturer exchange activities, organizes international scientific conferences with many universities and research and training institutions around the world”. At the same time, she delivered detailed presentations on training majors of the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate, and hoped to cooperate in student exchange programs under the model of 3+1+1; 3+1; 3.5+0.5.

Mr. Yeh Shin Jen thanked for the warm welcome of the BAFU’s leaders. Mr. Yeh Shin Jen gave an overview of the highlights of Da Yeh University. He also affirmed that, as leading research and training institutions in the fields of technology, engineering, mechanics, artificial intelligence and semiconductors, the Da Yeh University and BAFU will have breakthroughs in cooperation through the student exchange and research development. “The Da Yeh University will find jobs at factories for Vietnamese students with a high income of about 35 million VND/month after graduation. During the internship period, they will also be paid about 25 million VND/month”, Mr. Yeh Shin Jen emphasized.

Also during the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed many contents related to the program of International Summer Camp* (2 weeks) for students and the training programs of student exchange under the model: 2+2, 3+1+2, 3+1, 3.5+0.5. The two sides hope to soon sign a cooperation agreement in the near future.

The International Summer Camp Program offers students the opportunity to experience a new learning and living environment. This will be an opportunity for students to improve themselves by building their independence, improve their foreign language skills, social communication skills and develop their aptitudes.
