BAFU’s outstanding student honoured with January Star Awards, 2022

(BAFU) – On the evening of January 7th, 2022, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) held a ceremony to celebrate the 73rd Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students and Pupils on January 9 (1950 – 2023), honoring outstanding students and collectives with “January Star”, “Five-Virtue Student”, and “Five-Virtue Student Collective” Awards, 2022 at the Central level.

At the event, 104 outstanding students nationwide were honoured with the January Star Award 2022. On this occasion,  Tran Quang Thanh (D-THUY9A), a student of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU), was honoured for his brilliant academic results and significant contributions to BAFU’s youth and students’ movements.

Tran Quang Thanh is an excellent student in many academic years and has many achievements in the emulation movement of learning and scientific research. Besides, he is also a member of the BAFU’s Voluntary Blood Donation Club. In 2022, he has just won the second prize of the Olympic Contest for English, Chinese and Informatics organized by BAFU. Thanh has always actively participated in the Volunteer programmers and campaigns include the “Green Summer”, “Assistance during Exam Season, “Pink Holiday” …

The January Star Award aims to honor students’ significant academic achievements during the last academic year and their active participation in the Vietnam Students’ Association (VSA) and the HCMCYU’s activities. The awardees of the “January Star” meet the five criteria of good personality, excellent academic achievements, physical fitness, volunteer activities, and social integration.
