(BAFU) – On December 24, 2023, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) organized a cultural exchange program between students Xay Som Bun province (Laos) and students of Bac Giang province.
Attending the program, there were the participation of Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan – Permanent Deputy Director of the Bac Giang Department of Foreign Affairs, representatives of leaders of Ngo Gia Tu College, the Center for Culture – Information and Sports of Viet Yen district and enterprises in Bac Giang province.
On the side of BAFU were Dr. Dang Xuan Anh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (in charge), Chairman of the BAFU’s Council; Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong – Rector of BAFU, Board of Rectors, representatives of leaders of affiliated units, along with 15 trainees, 04 international students from Xay Som Bun province studying undergraduate training program and master’s program, more than 300 youth union members of BAFU and Ngo Gia Tu College.

Delivering the opening speech at the program, Prof.Dr. Pham Bao Duong said that BAFU was very honored to be assigned by the Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee to train and transfer science and technology to agricultural officials in Xay Som Bun province (Laos). On behalf of the BAFU’s leadership, the Rector first extended his warm welcome to the delegation and hoped that “the relationship between the two provinces will be sustainable and achieve many achievements. BAFU is always ready to make efforts to contribute to the friendship, solidarity and cooperation for prosperity and sustainable development for the two provincial governments”.

More than 300 students, learners, youth unionists of Ngo Gia Tu College and BAFU, Lao students studying at BAFU and the technicians’ delegation of Xaysomboun province participated in an art exchange programme with special performances commending the Vientam-Laos solidarity and close traditional friendship.

Within the programme, the students and the technicians’ delegation of Xaysomboun province visited headquarters of some agencies in Bac Giang, burned incense at the Xuong Giang victory relic site, visited the Memorial Site of Uncle Ho’s 6 Teachings to the Public Security Forces in Nha Nam town (Tan Yen district), Doctor Than Nhan Trung’s temple, Bo Da pagoda and Tho Ha trade village (Viet Yen district).
