BAC GIANG – The Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, the municipal People’s Council, the municipal People’s Committee and the Hanoi Youth Union coordinated to organise a ceremony at Thai Hoc yard of special national relic Temple of Literature on October 10 to honour outstanding valedictorians from universities and institutes based in the capital in 2023.
Among the 96 valedictorians honored this time, 4 students are from Bac Giang province. All graduated with excellence.

The first is Trinh Hai Son in Hoang Van Thu ward (Bac Giang city). He was student at Faculty of Physics, University of Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University). Son won first prize in the 23rd and 24th National Student Physics Olympiad in 2021 and 2022.

Second one is Cap Trong Phuc Trang in Van Ha commune (Viet Yen district). He studied at Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Hanoi National University). A part from receiving the university’s scholarship, Trang also won the KF – Sam Sung study promotion fund scholarship in the 2021-2022 school year, the Lotte Group scholarship in the 2022-2023 school year and achieved the TOPIK 5 Korean language proficiency certificate in 2022 (certificate has 6 levels).

The third is Nguyen Van Men (born 1999) in Doan Bai commune (Hiep Hoa district). He followed Faculty of Political Economy, Political Officer College. In 2022, he was honored as an All-Army Emulation Soldier, a typical young face of the college and awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Minister of National Defense and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The last is Tran Thi Thuy Minh in Hop Duc commune (Tan Yen district). She studied at Faculty of Electronics, Hanoi University of Industry. In two consecutive school years (2020-2021, 2021-2022), Minh won the Consolation prize at the university-level scientific research competition.

The 2023 commendation programme featured many practical activities such as: a ceremony to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and visit Uncle Ho’s mausoleum; meeting and interacting with students of the Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted; and visiting and meeting pioneering businesses in innovation, creativity, and digital transformation.
The Hanoi People’s Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with the Hanoi Youth Union to summarize the aspirations of excellent valedictorians to work at state agencies under Hanoi City to advise on recruitment according to current regulations.
