Delegation of BAFU officially visited and worked with Partner Universities in China

(BAFU) – Receiving invitations from partners in 2 provinces: Guangxi and Shanghai, China, the delegation of Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector had working visits to Chinese academies and universities from March 29th to April 8th, 2023. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the Science & International Cooperation Department, the Center for Foreign Languages ​​and Informatics, the Center for Applied Research and Technology Transfer of Agriculture – Forestry and the Forestry Faculty.

The BAFU’s delegation gave gifts to Prof. Dr. Dang Quofu – Director of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GXAAS)

On March 30th, 2023, at the GXAAS, the BAFU’s delegation visited  the training model of grape growing at the Agricultural Science Improvement Center, Guangxi; laboratories of the Institute of Agricultural Product Processing Science and Technology, GXAAS; technology exhibition hall of GXAAS and signed a Cooperation Agreement on Scientific Research  for the period of 2023-2026.

On March 31st, 2023, Guangxi University of Technology and Education welcomed the BAFU’s delegation and signed a MoU on cooperation in training Chinese language for BAFU’s students.

In 02 days from April 1st to 2nd, 2023, the delegation worked with Guangxi Normal University, signed the MoU and discussed on the cooperation in establishing the Vietnam – China Link Lab for Biodiversity Conservation. On this occasion, the delegation of BAFU also visited a key laboratory for protection of environment and endangered plant – animal species (Ministry of Education, China) and the Memorial Hall of Vietnamese Universities in China (on campus).

In 02 days (March 2nd – 3rd, 2023), the delegation worked with the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, exchanged contents for testing the varieties of Maize, Vegetables, and Mushrooms in 2023 and cooperation orientations in the future. The delegation also exchanged information with the Consulate General of Vietnam in China.

On April 5th, BAFU signed a MOU on cooperation in scientific research with the Research Institute of Science and Agricultural Product Processing Technology; participating in the Grand Opening of  laboratory for the preservation and processing of China – Vietnam agricultural products.

BAFU always attaches importance to partners in China, the University has cooperated with China since 2015 and has a lot of cooperation with Chinese universities and institutes across the fields of academics, education and scientific research to promote mutual understanding. The MoUs emphasized that cooperation programs need to be consistent with each country’s laws, regulations. These programs must be mutually agreed upon and signed by both parties.

The signing of MoUs will be an important legal basis for the implementation of cooperation activities between BAFU and Chinese partner Universities in the coming period in order to improve the quality and efficiency of training and scientific research activities of each side, contributing to promote the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
