(BAFU) – The national high school graduation exam for the academic year 2022- 2023 will take place in June instead of July. The high school graduation exam in 2023 will be held earlier than in 2022. The exam format will remain the same as last year, according to the Ministry of Education and Training on February 19.
Accordingly, the High school graduation exam in 2023 will be held on June 27, 28, 29 and 30:
– June 27, 2023: Procedures for taking the exam;
– June 28, 29, 2023: Organizing examination;
– June 30, 2023: Contingency.
The high school graduation exam consists of 3 independent tests of Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Languages and 2 combined tests of Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, etc.) Citizenship education for candidates in a general education program; or History and Geography for candidates in continuing education programs).
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the national high school graduation exam for the academic years, in 2020-2021 and 2021- 2022 were held in July. This year’s examination will be organized earlier. In addition, university enrollment schedules will also begin earlier to prepare for the new school year that is expected to start in September.

Since 2015, the high school graduation and university entrance exams have been combined into one national exam in Viet Nam. Some universities hold their own exams to select qualified candidates.
Universities can launch admission requirements and organize selection based on high school graduation exam results early. Students must complete the university application form on the public university system in accordance with the regulations.
