(BAFU) – On August 4, 2021, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University (BAFU) held a Preliminary Conference on the first 6 months of the year; directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2021 through an online meeting.
Attending the conference were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ha – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Dr. Dang Xuan Anh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector; The Secretaries of party cell, the Heads of the faculties, departments, centers, leaders of unions and all officers and employees.

The 1st part of the Conference:
Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung – Vice President of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee, President of the University’s Trade Union, Head of the Organization and Administration Department presented the learning content and thoroughly grasped the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress
The report consists of 3 parts:
– Summarizing the term of the 12th National Congress;
– Orientation and tasks of the 13th Congress term and the following years;
– Organizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress.
The 2nd part of the Conference:
In the next part of the conference, Dr. Mai Thi Huyen – Vice Rector presented a report on the results of the training work in the first 6 months of the year and the direction of the tasks for the last 6 months of 2021. Accordingly, the training works of the past 6 months has achieved some results such as:
– Graduate admissions: organizing 1thphase-master’s exams in Accounting Management for nearly 100 students; organizing knowledge review classes for 199 candidates in Land Management, Science of Growing Plants and Economic Management;
– Actively implementing the university’s enrollment plan; registering for the results of the national high school exam into the BAFU’s training branches;
– BAFU recognized the graduation and held the closing ceremony for 208 undergraduate students and graduate students in economic management (1th phase, 2021)
– In the context of the complicated and unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, BAFU quickly switched to online teaching and exams in order to ensure quality and progress (about 170 exams have been completed).

Regarding scientific research and international cooperation, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Diep – Vice President presented the report for the first 6 months of the year and the direction for the last 6 months of 2021 with activities such as:
– BAFU has had 03 projects of the ministerial level, and 01 project of the provincial level. projects, 01 project, 02 grassroots-level tasks, 01 project in Vinh Phuc province;
– Carrying out 18 grassroots-level tasks with a budget of 244 million VND. In the first 6 months of this year, 32 articles of the University’s staffs and lecturers were published in domestic and foreign journals. Including 06 articles in international journals and 26 articles in domestic journals;
– International cooperation: 8 students of Food Technology and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science have sent for internships in Japan and Denmark; maintain relationships with China and other partners; Journal of Science and Development No 4 was published in June, 2021.

Also at the Conference, Dr. Dang Xuan Anh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council presented a report on Organizational – Administrative work in the first 6 months of the year and the direction for the last 6 months of 2021:
– The school has mobilized and appointed 10 officials and employees; 02 Ph.D. students were sent to study in the country, 10 officials and employees attended the short-term professional training and retraining courses;
– Building, reviewing, editing and supplementing 30 internal management documents; reviewing job positions for 6 departments and Information and Library Center;
– Signing labor contracts for 8 employees and retired lecturers; completing the project of transforming the Foreign Language – Informatics Center and the Service Center into units with legal status;
– Informing the results of the School Council’s supervision activities; Results of the 3rd meeting of the School Council and the School Council’s plans in the last 6 months of the year.

MA. Tran The Hiep – Head of Finance – Accounting Department reported the financial results of the first 6 months of the year and the plan for the last 6 months of 2021
After listening to the reports, the officials and employees had many opinions to discuss the results of the first 6 months of the year. The conference also spent a lot of time discussing the direction of implementing tasks in the last 6 months of the year in the context of complicated epidemic developments.

At the end of the conference program, the University announced and awarded Decisions to 2 re-organized Centers: Service Center and Center for Foreign Languages - Informatics.
